I know i said the last post would be short and it wasn't, but this one will be! Filming started today! Wohoo! Also, the "About" section of the site is now up, so if you have no idea what this website is talking about, go check it out. It will tell you all about our movie and the people and concepts behind it. Also it's got a real cool "clicky" thing. Trust me, it's cool. That's about all I've got. Hopefully as the filming progresses, we'll have some pictures and screen shots up here on the site. Until then, keep checking back. More stuff coming soon, I promise.

Hey, some exciting stuff going down, gonna have a lot of updates these next two weeks so I'll try to keep this post short. But before we get into any of that, I would like to take this moment to say fuck you, Martin Gramatica. That's twice now, you’ve cost the Saints the game with your shitty, crooked kicking. Olindo Mare, you are not.

Moving right along, one of our most eagerly awaited costume pieces arrived in the mail today from the fine people at Incognito Masks in Texas. The mask is for Calvin Luscombe's character "Greyhound", and it looks frickin' fantastic. This is a costume that I'm really excited about and as much as I want people to see it right away, I think we'll try and keep this one under wraps for now. Just know that it looks great. Now all that we're waiting for on the costume side of things is our Soviet gas mask ("In Soviet Russia, mask gasses you!") for Sean Luscombe's character Blight.

As far as filming goes, today was used primarily for rehearsals and tomorrow will be more of the same. Then, on Wednesday, the "real" filming begins. From what Evan tells me, the team will be prioritizing the "Roland and Sykes" scenes and focusing on those for the first couple days of shooting. Best of luck to you guys, hope everything goes smoothly.

Now, on to the website. As some of you may have noticed, the "About" section is still under construction, but trust me, it will be worth the wait. Kira (web-designer) and I talked about it today, and came up with an idea for the layout of that page, so it should be up soon. Kira has been insanely fast at getting this site up and running and has made it look amazing.

Well, that's all for now. Any questions, comments, bribes or threats can be sent by clicking the "Contact" section of the site. Thanks for reading, and check back soon! Reese's Peaces,

WELCOME TO MIRACLECITYMOVIE.COM!

Hey there hi there, internet world. It's been an exciting past month or two working on the '3 A.M. in Miracle City' movie, and things are only going to get crazier as we get closer and closer to our deadline. Actually, as the only member of the Miracle City team in Honolulu rather than Hilo, my part is more or less done and now all the stress and heavy-lifting falls on Evan and his crew in Volcano and Hilo. In fact, I am currently sitting back in my comfy chair, taking a hiatus from my film noir movie binge (The Killing and Out of the Past are the standouts so far) to write this while the Big Island boys are no doubt knee-deep in worry over the outcome of the weeks to follow. But I digress.

The website is up and running, and looking great thanks to the talented webdesignings of Kira (from robokira.com)! Preproduction is rapidly coming to a close and we should be well into the production phase by the week of October 5-11th. The script is finalized, the storyboard is completed, all Honolulu shooting has concluded, and the Miracle City team is getting ready to get to the heart of the filming. If you happen to see Evan and crew shooting around Hilo town, go bug them when they don't look like they're doing anything important.

The last of the costume pieces we're waiting on should be arriving within the next few days, and I'm really excited about those. The mask for Kawa Harijan's character 'Dreameater' arrived from a mask shop in New Orleans the other day and it looks amazing. We are now just waiting on the last two masks (one of which I am really hoping arrives tomorrow).

If you came to this site without any previous knowledge of this project, you can find out all about our movie and the world it's set in by checking out the "About" section. Still nothing in the "Cast and Crew" section, but we plan on having that up soon, so you can see who all the suckers are that were roped into this fiasco. I'm currently working on a short story for the "Tales of Miracle City" section of the site. The story will hopefully expand upon the world of Miracle City by introducing some new characters who didn't make it into the movie but live there just the same. Finally, if you have any questions or comments, want to help, or have known Evan and I for years and are still unconvinced that the two of us are actually taking a project like this seriously, click on the "Contact" section and drop us an email!

Thanks for checking out the site and come back soon! Our time budget is extremely small so updates will happen often! Later elevators!
